The warm weather of spring has certainly brought our grass back to life. However, we noticed that a large patch of our grass was not getting green. Upon further inspection we found ruts dug into our yard and holes in the ground. This could only mean one thing.......VOLES!! Looks like we'll be investing in some traps. If you have any tips on how to eliminate these pests, please share!
I feel your pain! We had voles about a month ago. We had an exterminator come and he put out some little pellet bait in the hole and trails, it was called Rat Raid. It's pretty toxic, pretty much kills anything that eats it, so probably not the best if it's an area your kids are in. He also said we can use the little green poison block bait that you use for mice. And a word of encouragement is he said they are mostly winter & spring animals, they don't like the warm weather. (I could also offer up my dog who is very good at sniffing them out!)
