Shake it Sylvia!

Sylvia was being a little silly tonight so I had to catch some video of her. She was showing off her dance moves and chanting "Shaky, Ya Ya!" or something to that effect. Funny and cute!

Haircuts

Ab played stylist for the girls today as she gave them both haircuts. This was Sylvia's very first haircut. They just received a trim, no complete makeover or anything, they look very nice!

A New Dish

Tonight for supper we made a couple new dishes. Ab made some "quick and spicy tomato soup." It smelled good, but I did't have any :)

I tried my hand at philly cheesesteaks. I made them on the grill and Lola says they are my new specialty. I would have to agree that they were quite delicious! So if you're ever around our house for supper, you should request them! I enjoy making them. I have included some pictures (of course).

Berry Patch Farm

Today we took a trip to the Berry Patch Farm south of Nevada. We picked some apples and raspberries, but couldn't find any blackberries. The girls had a good time. We took a short trip on the hay wagon. Olivia enjoyed picking the fruit and adding it to her basket. Sylvia enjoyed eating the apples and raspberries. Here are the pictures from the day:

Family Update

Here's a few recent snapshots of the fam and a silly video of the girls:

Behold, a rare glimpse at Sylvia actually cuddling with her Daddy!

Here's Olivia!

Here's Mommy at 19 weeks!

We can't forget Gizmo!

Here's video of the girls being silly at supper, which is their favorite time to be silly. I'm not sure when this started but the girls do this thing where they make a silly face and stiffen up all their joints at once. It's really funny.

Chicago Video

Here is some footage I shot at the Cubs game last weekend. It starts with the last play of the game and shows crowd reation to the win. I tried to get the crowd singing "Go, Cubs, Go" but it's kind of hard to hear with the crowd noise. At the end of the video is us on the lower level getting a closer look at the players and the crowd singing "Living on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi (you can see Cody singing along too!) What fun!

Go, Cubs, Go!

This Saturday I was able to take my nephew Cody to his first major league baseball game. We went to Chicago to watch the Cubs play the Cardinals and they won! To add to the awesomeness they also clinched their division and a trip to the playoffs with the win! How cool is that? We arrived in Chicago Friday night (with a slight detour into the south side of Chicago...yikes!!) and stayed with Jenney who lives pretty close to Wrigley Field. On Saturday morning we went up to the stores and shops near Wrigley to do some souvenir shopping. After shopping we went to the Sears Tower to take in the view. By the time we were finished with the tower it was almost game time so we went back to Wrigley and enjoyed the game!

Anybody for Chicago style pizza?

A super big thanks again to Seth and Jen for everything you did to make this trip possible and successful! You guys rock!

Urgent Prayer Request

As some of you may know, Matt's aunt Linda is critically ill in Sioux Falls, SD. She is fighting for her life against a lethal fungal infection in her lungs and has gone into multi-system failure. From the way it looks now, only the power of prayer will bring her out out this. Please pray specifically for the following:

1. -for healing in Linda's lungs and other organs; for the treatments to begin killing the fungus; for the extra fluid to begin to filter through her kidneys

2. -for Linda's family- Herb(spouse), Ryan(son) and his family, Robyn(daughter) and her family-to remain strong and patient through this slow and difficult process

3. -for the support of all praying for Linda and her family to be felt by them like a warm, comforting blanket

4. -no matter what the outcome, that Linda's family come to know that God is in control and has a perfect plan for them and all of us

Thank you and God bless!!

Family Portrait

Yesterday Olivia had her first homework assignment, she had to make a poster of her family so she could discuss the names of everyone in her family at school. Last night Olivia and I worked on it and it was so fun! Here's her poster:

The poster was too large to scan all at once, so this is two scans pasted together!

P.S. I only helped draw Gizmo.

From the Heart

Here's the first video of our little boy and the first sounds you'll hear from him come straight from his heart! Enjoy!

Baby Update

Today we had an ultrasound of the little baby boy. Everything looked good and he is growing and growing! There were a few concerns with his heart during the last ultrasound but things are looking good now! (Thanks for the prayers!) All vital organs were accounted for and looked healthy and he is definately a boy! I hope to have some video of the check-up put together soon so you can see him and hear the heartbeat!

Oh Boy!

Well, the news has been leaked so we may as well make it official! It's a boy! Judging from the voting it's not much of a surprise (sorry to the 2 voters for twins). We are blessed and excited! (And ready to get some blue in our house!)

Here's A Hint

Here's a glimpse of the new baby...can you tell if it's a boy or a girl?
