Indoor Pool?

Yesterday we discovered the Nemo sprinkler just wasn't cutting it for the girls. We wanted to have a pool for them to play in but the pools we have are inflatable and have holes or are the flimsy kind. I've always wanted a solid plastic pool for the girls to play in so I went on a quest to find one. It didn't actually take me long to find one so I was happy about that! So one new plastic pool and a pop-up later.....we have an indoor pool! Sort of....

Beatin' the heat is super sweet!

The girls think this is the coolest thing ever.

19 Weeks

19 weeks and growing, growing, growing!! Can you believe what a big boy Joe has become?

I'm HOW old!??

Rooftop!

This weekend we went to Chicago to join Seth and Jen for their bachelor/ette party at a Cubs game. We all received matching t-shirts to commemorate the day. Also, we were surprised with a stretch limo to take us from their home in Oswego to Wrigley Field! How cool is that? After a fun ride into Chicago we went up to our rooftop seats that provide all you can eat/drink! Super nice. Can it possibly get better? Yes. We definitely got our money's worth because the game went into extra innings....13 to be exact! To top it off the Cubs won 6-5! It was a beautiful day and I couldn't imagine it going any better than it did! (Well, I may take out the getting sunburned part). Thanks Seth and Jen for making the day incredibly fun. We had a great time and it will be a great day to remember! All the pics are here.

The whole gang.

The happy couple.

The fam. Nice shirts!

A special message for Seth & Jen. (It was up for about 3 seconds.)

The other happy couple!

More Kid Vid

Here is some more video of the life around our house.

Water Fun

The last few days we sought some relief from the heat by breaking out our Nemo sprinkler and having some homemade water fun!

Bucket-o-water

Nemo!

Not quite a pool....but it will do.

Ahhh.....cool relief.

Encore!

Once again this weekend we found ourselves at a dance recital. This time it was for Olivia. She performed tap and ballet routines that were in the theme of Peter Pan. She was dressed as Tinkerbell (along with about 30 others!) She did very well and we are so proud of her! Thanks to all of the family that made the trip to see her dance.

Such nice form!

Sister Moment

Today the girls got outside to enjoy the weather. They enjoyed playing on their swing set and in their cardboard house. They also insisted on eating lunch outside. I had to snap a picture of this rare quiet moment between sisters sharing a lunch date.

Bucketheads

The latest goofiness from the girls has been there obsession with the cardboard buckets that house their dress-up jewelry and princess stuff.  They like to dump out the contents and run around with the containers on their heads, pretending to be robots. It's quite a sight.

Look at me!

Who's that?

It's Sylvia!

Monkey See.....

This is what I found Olivia doing today. She certainly takes the role of mother to her bunny seriously. Do you think she's seen her mommy feed Joseph a few too many times??

18 Weeks

Happy 18 weeks Joseph!  Today I brought the "exer-saucer" out to see how Joe would respond.  He enjoyed his time in it, but grew tired of it and just wanted to be held. I think the girls enjoyed it more than Joe did! They couldn't keep their hands off it! Looking good Joseph!

PS: I didn't post his 17 week pic on the blog (it's on my Facebook) so here ya go!

Bravo!

This weekend we traveled to LeMars to watch Grace perform in her dance recital. The acts were very good and it was quite an entertaining event. Great job Grace, we had a great time!

Bowling

Today we all headed down the road to check out the new bowling alley that opened on Monday. It was nice to get out as a family and have some fun. He haven't been able to do that in quite a while. The girls had a fantastic time and were sad to leave. They had fun cheering each other on and Sylvia loved to "knock the bottles over." I think we will be doing some more bowling in the future for sure! Click here for the pictures.

Here is a video of all of us bowling. I caught Ab when she threw a strike! I came up short on my shot, so a spare will have to do!
